I just saw a picture of me on facebook and well, besides not being happy with getting old, I wasn’t happy with my smile!  So I called Ladera Dentistry in Ladera Ranch, CA and serving Mission Viejo and Laguna Niguel.

I asked about Zoom! Teeth Whitening  and about the difference between Zoom! Teeth Whitening and other teeth whitening products and well why weren’t my teeth as white as they were when I was in my 30s.

The call was interesting.  The knowledgeable female dentist who seemed to know a lot about cosmetic dentistry explained that both lifestyle and age can stain and darken a person’s teeth.  To name a few vices (and I won’t reveal which ones I am guilty of) … drinking coffee, tea, cola, red wine, and smoking are a few things that impact the brightness of one’s teeth.

OK, but I read at the mall that they could do it for $99 … should I try them.  Her response was no, that unless you have your teeth whitened by a professional using professional (and proven) products like Zoom!, could you count on satisfactory and sustaining results.

She said that look for a whitening product that is fast and convenient, long lasting, safe and effective, and performed by a Dental Professional.  Zoom! only takes 45 minutes and can whiten your teeth up to 8 shades .. hmm does that mean I don’t have to photo shop all my photos any more!

So among my goals for 2010 are to eat less, exercise more, work less and smile more … whiter teeth will help me achieve one of them any way.
